La dimensione del fantastico

Immagini molto bidimensionali, che si dichiarano aderenti ad un linguaggio segnico e all'ambito disegnativo colto e raffinato, di matrice fortemente contemporanea. Lemeh42 è un duo di artisti che lavorano insieme dal 2003: i loro ambienti fisici e spirituali sono il video e l'animazione, i loro interessi formativi, la fotografia e la letteratura. L'universo che viene generato è fatto di un'estetica che sembra riferita al circostante quotidiano, mediata attraverso un linguaggio modernissimo e ad un ritmo narrativo che restituisce l'essenza del mondo invece della sua stessa forma. Nonostante la variegatezza degli ambiti di applicazione - dal video al disegno, passando per la performance e il wall painting - la poetica di Lemeh42 si attiene ad un unico linguaggio e ad un solo messaggio che si differenziano nella storia ma non nella "morale" a partire dal disegno. Per questo i riferimenti non sono quotidiani, le forme sono a mala pena riconoscibili come animali o vegetali e le azioni si manifestano da una fantasia illimitata che ci appare con quel potere del divino che permette l'avverarsi dell'impossibile: le forme vengono mutuate le une dalle altre, la stessa cosa che avviene infinitamente più lenta in natura durante l'evoluzione della specie, attraverso una manifestazione del fantastico lontana dalle ricerche tradizionali ma fortemente affine a realtà filosofico-metafisiche.

Very two-dimensional images that adhers to a language of signs and drawings cultured and refined with a highly contemporary matrix. Lemeh42 is a duo of artists working together since 2003: their spiritual and physical environments are videos and animation, their interests drawing and literature. The universe that is generated is made of an aesthetic that seems related to the daily environment, mediated through a modern language and a narrative rhythm that gives the essence of the world instead of his own form. Despite vary areas of application - from video to drawing, through the performance and wall painting - the poetics of Lemeh42 is kept to a single language and a message that only differ in history but not in the "moral" from the drawing. For this reason, references are not banal, the forms are barely recognizable as animals or plants, and actions are manifested by a fantasy that seems limitless with that divine power that enables the fulfillment of the impossible: the forms are borrowed from each other, the same thing that happens in nature is infinitely more slowly during the evolution of the species, through a demonstration of the fantastic far from traditional research but highly similar to philosophical and metaphysical realities.
